You will need a 1 QT canning jar, cleaned, but it does not need to be sterilized like in canning.
Mix vinegar, water, salt, sugar, and MSG in a pot and bring to a boil
While it is coming to a boil, cut the cucumber into your desired shape.
In a 1 qt canning jar, alternate layers of cucumber, minced garlic, and dill. Leave a little space at the top of the jar.
Once the mixture in the pot is boiling, pour it into the jar with the cucumber, garlic, and dill. Do not put the lid on.
There will most likely be leftover liquid.
Let cool to room temp, then cover and put in fridge.
Better if left to sit in the fridge overnight before eating.
